The name Fatehsagar Lake is bestowed in honor of Maharana Fateh Singh, which is counted among the renowned lakes. When Maharana Fateh Singh of Mewar, along with his queen Maharani Chawri, visited Devaali Talab for the first time, the queen requested him to organize a fair for women, which he agreed to.
