India has clearly stated on several occasions that normal relations between the two countries cannot exist without peace on the border. A Chinese spokesperson has said that China has repeatedly emphasized that its bilateral relations with India are not solely determined by the situation on the border. Both countries can maintain a normal situation on the border through better management.
