Election 2024: To prevent electoral fraud, the Election Commission has taken another step. First, the index finger of the voter’s left hand will be inked. Then, they will sign in the register. If the ink is erased or there is suspicion about the ink, such voters will not be allowed to cast their votes. A separate list with the names and identification cards of voters will be prepared. The ink will show its effect within seven seconds. Before applying the ink, polling staff will remove any substance, such as oil, from the nail of the index finger to the palm.
