Mumbai, March 2 (IANS) Actor Bobby Deol, who is awaiting the release of the upcoming part of the third season of his hit streaming show ‘Aashram’, has shared how the show’s creator and director Prakash Jha accommodated his special request to facilitate filming of the show.
Bobby seems to have found his niche in the negative characters, and he is doing it with absolute finesse. To get into a character requires many things, one of which is physicality. In the run-up to the second part’s release, Bobby spoke with IANS, and revealed his one condition that he put forth in front of Prakash.
Talking about the same, Bobby told IANS, “Prakash ji, hats off to him. He is the producer, director, writer, everything on this show, but his energy levels are insane. I asked him for only one thing. I need a good gym. We were shooting in Ayodhya in the first season. And when I reached there, the gym was ready. I used to go there at 5:00 am or 5:30 am. When I used to go there, Prakash ji used to come out of the gym. I used to ask him, ‘What is this?’. He used to exercise and leave at 7 in the morning for the shooting”.
The actor further mentioned, “He used to come back at night. I felt that if some day, I’m not in my best shape, physically or mentally, how would I tell him that I am tired, my head is aching? How can I cancel or come late because he is working so much? And then in the evening, he used to come and go through the scenes. Madhavi, his right hand, used to sit and tell me that these are the changes. Then I used to go to her room every evening and she used to say that Prakash ji is still working”.
Bobby shared that on the first day, Prakash changed the lines a little bit, and this way of working was very different from his style of working.
“Slowly I got used to it. Meaning and words were almost the same but some lines were up and some were down. Then in the same scene, there was the same kind of angle again, so I changed my outfit and came. And he made me say my dialogue again. So, I felt so happy. So, this is the thing because he cares about his actors. And he wants not just them not to be satisfied, so it was really amazing that I got this chance to work with Prakash ji”, he added.
‘Aashram’ streams on Amazon MX Player.
