New Delhi, May 31 (IANS) Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Harsh Malhotra said on Sunday that the party’s goal is not merely to come to power but to serve the people through governance and contribute to making India a developed nation and a global leader.
Malhotra was speaking at the concluding training sessions for all 14 districts and 252 mandals of Delhi BJP under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Maha Prashikshan Abhiyan, conducted by the party every three years.
He delivered guidance on the BJP’s working methodology in the Chandni Chowk and Keshavpuram districts and also discussed party programmes scheduled for the month of June.
Outgoing Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva addressed sessions on worker development and welfare in both districts, while Organisation General Secretary Pawan Rana addressed the concluding session in Chandni Chowk district and BJP Member of Parliament Praveen Khandelwal addressed the concluding session in Keshavpuram district.
They discussed organisational matters as well as the benefits of the three-tier government structure for the people of Delhi.
Delhi BJP Media Head Praveen Shankar Kapoor addressed sessions in both districts on the importance and use of media in the current political scenario.
Senior BJP leader Yogesh Atreya addressed the Chandni Chowk district on practical communication, while BJP MLA Ashok Goyal spoke on the subject in Keshavpuram district.
Social Media Head Rohit Upadhyay addressed both districts on the importance and effective use of social media.
Malhotra said that BJP is the world’s largest political party with more than 170 million members, and with such a large family comes greater responsibility.
He added that the party has endured many challenges and today is in power in 22 states across the country.
In 1964, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya presented a vision of work that resulted in a defined working methodology.
“A political party has its own goals, and BJP’s goal is not merely to come to power but to serve the people through governance and contribute to making India a developed nation and a global leader. For this, discipline and an efficient work culture are indispensable,” Malhotra said.
He added that BJP’s ideology is nationalist and positive, which is why the party has formed the government at the Centre three successive times.
“The dedication with which BJP workers serve is the party’s greatest asset. Party workers are the medium through which the party reaches the people, making them the foundation of the organisation. Developing the qualities of party workers is a key aspect of BJP’s identity,” the Delhi BJP Chief said.
