Senior Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) cannot be defeated in Uttar Pradesh without including Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati in the alliance of opposition parties ‘India’. Speaking to a news agency, Krishnam said, “I think that Behenji (Mayawati) is such a leader in Uttar Pradesh who is capable of influencing 18 to 22 percent of the votes. If ‘India’ alliance is formed without Behenji, then There is no justification in calling it a ‘grand alliance’.
