ADR has said in its report that the analysis of the parties’ audit and donation reports filed with the Election Commission clearly shows that the sources of money are unknown to a large extent. At present political parties are not required to declare details of donors with donations amounting to less than Rs 20,000. According to the report, more than 59% of the funds of political parties have been received from unknown sources which also includes electoral bonds.
