London, August 18 :An Ahmedabad businessman has embarked on a very special journey on the occasion of India’s Independence Day. Daman Thakor will travel 12,000 kilometers to the MG factory in Abingdon in south-east England on this journey with the vintage car ‘Lal Pari’, built in Britain in 1950 and belonging to his family for several generations.
Daman Thakor (50) left for the trip with his 75-year-old father, 21-year-old daughter and close friends. He will travel around 12 thousand kms through 16 countries in a ‘1950 MG YT’ car. And the last stop on their tour will be the MG factory in Abingdon in south-east England, where the car was made.
