Ahmedabad: During treatment at a private hospital in Mumbai, Rajeshwari Pradip Shah, the elder sister of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, passed away. The information about the demise of the Home Minister’s sister was conveyed to the media by his close aide Ajay Patel. While addressing a program in Banaskantha, Gujarat, Ajay Patel informed the people present there about this and mentioned that Union Home Minister Amit Shah was supposed to attend this event, but due to the demise of his elder sister, he couldn’t make it. After sharing this information at the event, everyone observed a two-minute silence. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was also present on the stage during this program. The Union Home Minister was scheduled to stay present at the Banas Dairy event, but after the demise of his sister, all his scheduled programs were canceled.
