On Wednesday, the United States stated that the International Court of Justice should not issue an unconditional order for the return of Israeli forces from Palestinian territories. The United Nations General Assembly had urged in 2022 for the International Court of Justice to release a non-binding opinion on the legal consequences of Israeli occupation. Israel has said that reaching a resolution through negotiation may be difficult after the court’s involvement.
