Australia won the ICC ODI World Cup match on the basis of aggressive batting after the brilliant performance of the bowlers led by leg spinner Adam Zampa (four wickets for 47 runs) and captain Pat Cummins (two wickets for 32 runs). Defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets with 88 balls remaining here on Monday.
This is Australia’s first win in three matches and the team has moved to eighth place in the points table. Sri Lanka is in ninth place after its third consecutive defeat.
