Mumbai, Aug 26 Actor Ayushmann Khurrana expresses his elation over the strong commencement of his recent release “Dream Girl 2” at the domestic box office, with the movie amassing a net collection of Rs 10.69 crore on its debut day.
Under the direction of Raaj Shaandilyaa, “Dream Girl 2” serves as a sequel to Khurrana’s 2019 blockbuster of the same name. In this installment, the actor reprises his role as Karam, who ingeniously adopts the persona of Pooja, aiming to amass the funds needed to marry his beloved, portrayed by Ananya Panday.
As per the official statement by the film’s creators, “Dream Girl 2” has etched a new record for Khurrana, emerging as his “most successful opening to date.” This achievement surpasses the initial-day earnings of his 2019 movie “Bala,” which had garnered Rs 10.15 crore.
