In Baghpat, a village student visiting for groceries was allegedly lured by a fellow student, leading to a harrowing incident. Waiting for a ride at Rashtriya Vandana Chowk, she accepted a lift from a Muslim youth who promised to drop her home but took her to a hotel. There, he attempted sexual assault, and when she resisted, he assaulted her. A shopkeeper alerted her brother, who confronted the attacker, resulting in a violent altercation. The accused also attempted to strangle the student.
