Before the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, the BJP is attempting to appease Brahmins in Uttar Pradesh. In this endeavor, Sahibabad MLA Sunil Sharma could be appointed as a minister in the Yogi cabinet expansion. He has received a call from the Raj Bhavan in Lucknow regarding this matter. In the previous Lok Sabha elections, the BJP lost 7 out of 14 seats in Western Uttar Pradesh.
