Bill co-founded the software company Microsoft with Paul Allen in 1975. The speed of his progress can be gauged from the fact that even before he turned 32, his name appeared in the Forbes list of billionaires in 1987 and he remained at the first position in this list for many years.
Despite having immense wealth, Bill Gates, who leads a very normal and comfortable life, spends a large part of his earnings on charitable works and social improvement. He has also written two books, The Road Ahead and Business @ Speed of Thought. ,
