New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the sixth consecutive budget on February 1st, setting several records in the process. With this, she will equal the record of former Prime Minister Morarji Desai, who presented a total of six budgets, including five full budgets and one interim budget. Sitharaman is the first full-term female Finance Minister, having presented five full budgets since July 2019. She is set to present the interim budget next week. Morarji Desai holds the record for presenting the highest number of budgets, having presented a total of 10 budgets. This includes presenting the maximum number of budgets by any Finance Minister. However, Desai presented six budgets, including interim budgets, consecutively.
