In the state’s election strategy, Congress decides not to give tickets to leaders who lost in the previous elections. Out of the 90 legislative assembly seats in the state, 40 will be given to new faces. This includes leaders below 50 years of age, Youth Congress, and Mahila Congress members actively involved in politics, with a good chance of winning. Congress had accepted applications at the block level for tickets. After scrutinizing the 2790 applications, 273 names have been included in the panel.
