Chhattisgarh: Stringent Security Measures for PM Modi’s ‘Parivartan Mahasankalp’ Rally Today

Raipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is embarking on a one-day visit to Chhattisgarh, where he will deliver the ‘Parivartan Mahasankalp’ rally at Bilaspur’s Science College ground on September 30. The venue in Bilaspur is under tight security.

PM’s Itinerary

As per the official schedule, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will touch down in the capital city of Raipur via a special aircraft at 1:30 pm. Subsequently, he will head to Bilaspur to take part in the public gathering. Culture Minister Amarjeet Bhagat will receive him on behalf of the state government at Swami Vivekananda Airport.

Following the event, Modi will return to Swami Vivekananda Airport at 4:50 pm via a flight from Bilaspur and then depart for New Delhi.

Thorough Preparations Underway

Preparations for the visit are in full swing. State BJP President and MP Arun Sao, accompanied by former Leader of Opposition Dharamlal Kaushik and other senior leaders, conducted an inspection of the arrangements at the public meeting ground in Bilaspur.

Additional Director General of Police Himanshu Gupta, responsible for the Prime Minister’s security, mentioned that due to the visit, a no-fly zone within a 3-kilometer radius would be enforced, and anti-drone weaponry would be deployed. Over 1,500 personnel from various police forces, including the Police, SPG, CAF forces, NSG, and Home Guards, have been deployed, forming a three-tier security setup.

VIPs have been instructed to take their positions two hours prior to the program’s commencement. Access to the ground will be through eighty-five Door Frame Metal Detector (DFMD) gates.
