China: Several Chinese agencies emphasized increasing the number of ICU beds in the country on Monday. These agencies proposed that by the year 2025, the number of ICU beds should be 15 per 100,000 people, and by 2027, it should be 18. Many agencies, including the National Health Commission, also stressed increasing the number of hospital beds in their recommendations.
