Lucknow: A class 9 girl was gangraped by five men in Barabanki. The police arrested them and sent them to jail on Sunday.
Police said that the incident took place when the victim girl student was going for her coaching, when her boyfriend met her, blackmailed her in the name of old obscene videos and forcibly took her to an orchard. Where he, along with four friends, gangraped her. They also made a video while raping the student.
Additional Superintendent of police, Barabanki, Chiranjeev Nath Sinha, said that police immediately registered the case and made arrests based on location of the accused and informer’s tip-off.
The victim’s father is a farmer by profession. According to the complaint given to the police, the 14-year-old victim student was going to coaching on February 22.
Raju (23) and her boyfriend intercepted her outside the village. Raju, a resident of the village had an affair with a student before.
“Allegations are that he had made obscene videos of the victim and used to blackmail the girl student by threatening to make these videos viral,” the victim girl’s father said in her FIR to the police.
Forcing the girl to follow his dictates. On the fateful day, Raju took her on a bike to a garden in a deserted area. There he raped her. Meanwhile, his aides Mahesh Kumar, Ajay, Hemraj and Rajkumar of the same village also reached the garden and took several turns on her.
All of them also made an obscene video while raping the student. The victim kept pleading with the accused to leave her. But the accused did not agree. After the brutality, all five accused including Raju fled from the spot.
Somehow the student reached her home taking help from the passersby and reached the home to narrate her ordeal late at night. The family took her to hospital for treatment and then reached the police station on February 24 to lodge the FIR.
“The police registered a case of gangrape and made teams to arrest the accused,” said ASP Singh. The police also took the mobile phones of those arrested including Raju Kumar, Mahesh Kumar, Ajay Verma, Hemraj Gautam and Raj Kumar all in their early 20s and got a forensic audit conducted thereby deleting the obscene videos.
