Yogi government has taken a significant decision while considering the welfare of the poor, marginalized, and scheduled caste/scheduled tribe communities. The government has directed that arrangements for housing should be ensured for the poor and homeless individuals before evicting them from public land. The government has also issued instructions for strict action against the oppression and exploitation of the poor in such cases, assigning the responsibility to the district magistrate. It is worth mentioning that these directives have been given in response to complaints in which individuals from the scheduled castes, tribes, and landless communities were being removed from public land without following the proper legal process.”
