The government has taken the first step in the direction of one country, one election. In fact, the government has constituted a committee to consider its possibilities. Former President Ramnath Kovind has been made the chairman of this committee. Notification will be issued on the members of the committee shortly. However, opposition parties have questioned this move of the government.
