Congress appointed Mukul Wasnik as general secretary in-charge of Gujarat and Randeep Singh Surjewala as general secretary in-charge of Madhya Pradesh. Apart from this, the party has appointed former MLA Ajay Rai as the president of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee.
