Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPRB) on Thursday sought representation from general public and candidates along with evidence in connection with the alleged UP police constable paper leak by February 23.
The board has issued a notice asking all those who wish to submit their representation to also submit relevant proofs and mention their names, addresses, mobile numbers and Aadhaar number in their applications.
Over 48 lakh candidates, including around 16 lakh women, participated in the UP Police Recruitment Exam 2024 held in four shifts at 2,385 centres on Feb 17-18 across the state. However, there is a request to re-conduct the examination as numerous candidates assert that the question paper for the UP police constable exam 2024 has been circulating on social media platforms.
An official notice stated, “The news of question papers going viral has been published in the print media and is also carried on various social media platforms. General public and candidates are advised to send their representation along with relevant proofs and evidence in which name, address, mobile number and Aadhaar number are mentioned to the e-mail ID – board@uppbpb.gov.in by 6 pm on Feb 23.”
Meanwhile, DG, UPPRB, Renuka Mishra said that a committee has been formed to suggest ways to make future recruitments foolproof. The committee will also try to verify claims being made on social media regarding the exams, she added.“No paper was uploaded on the social media before the exam and everything that came on social media came after the exam. We need to look into claims being made on the social media,” the DG added.
