The Supreme Court has granted exemption to actress and former MP Jaya Prada from surrendering within the stipulated time in the case in which she has been booked by the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) for a cinema theater owned by her. He was sentenced to six months’ simple imprisonment for non-payment of dues for more than 18 years.
