NCRB report states that 246 girls and 1027 women are going missing daily in the country. Despite having strict laws, 87 women are being raped every day. During 2021, 6337 rape cases were registered in Rajasthan. This number has been 2947 in Madhya Pradesh, 2845 in UP and 2496 in Maharashtra. In Madhya Pradesh, 13034 girls and 55704 women went missing during one year. 3937 girls and 56498 women went missing in Maharashtra. If we talk about the whole country, then in 2021, 90113 girls went missing, while the number of women was 375058.
