The ad-hoc committee appointed by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) for wrestling is likely to announce the date for conducting the trials for the World Championship between August 1 and 3 as there will be clarity on the nomination numbers for the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) elections by then.
Gyan Singh, a member of the ad-hoc committee, said on Thursday, “The last date for filing nominations is August 31, so by August 1, we will know how many candidates are fighting for the respective posts. If there is only one candidate for each post, I think that the command of WFI will be handed over to new officials by August 1. ,
