Elections 2023: BJP Releases First List for Assembly Polls; Announces 39 Candidates for Madhya Pradesh, 21 for Chhattisgarh.

In the upcoming months, elections are scheduled in five states of the country – Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Mizoram. The BJP holds power only in Madhya Pradesh. Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh are governed by Congress, while TRS is in power in Telangana. BJP has announced the names of 39 candidates for Madhya Pradesh and 21 for Chhattisgarh in preparation for the assembly elections. Both states are set to have elections this year. Prior to this, a meeting of BJP’s Central Election Committee was held on Wednesday at the party headquarters in New Delhi. During the meeting, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Raman Singh participated in deliberations.
