On Saturday, Senior Congress leader P Chidambaram condemned electoral bonds as “legalized bribery” and predicted that when the 28th tranche opens on October 4, it will result in a “golden harvest” for the BJP.
The government approved the issuance of the 28th tranche of electoral bonds on Friday, which will be available for sale for ten days starting October 4.
This decision comes ahead of upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram. The dates for the polls in these states are expected to be announced shortly.
