Engineers sitting at Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited have targeted around 1.5 lakh consumers this time who have connections ranging from five to nine kilowatts. The electricity department is suspicious that these consumers might be tampering with the electricity meters, causing a loss of revenue. Such consumers will also receive their electricity bills for the month of January from Madhyanchal with a delay.
