Lucknow: An owner of an electronics shop went into depression due to theft in the establishment and committed suicide, in Panki area of the City on Tuesday.
On the basis of a suicide note, wherein the shop owner identified as Vikrant Verma (37), a resident of Panki, has accused his servant -Prashant Shukla of committing theft, besides held him responsible for his death, the police has lodged a case and initiated an investigation in this regard.
Panki police station in-charge Ratnesh Singh said that during the investigation, a suicide note was recovered from the spot.
In the suicide note, Vikrant has accused his servant of committing theft and held him responsible for his death. On this basis, investigation is being done by registering a case against the servant.
Vikrant Verma, a resident of Sarai Mita, Panki, used to run an electronics shop on the Naubasta -Hamirpur road.
Vikrant’s father Ajay Kumar alleged that Prashant Shukla, a native of Ghazipur and living in Naubasta, used to work in their Electronics shop. He further alleged that he stole and sold goods worth 25 lakhs from the shop with the help of his brother-in-law and father. He also stole the cheque book and withdrew a huge sum of money by forging the signature of his son. Owing to such a heavy loss, his son went into depression and on Tuesday night he committed suicide by hanging himself.
On information, the police and forensic team reached the spot and launched an investigation. Based on the suicide note, an FIR has been registered against the servant under sections of abetment to suicide.
