Engelbrecht and Van Beek lead Netherlands to challenging score

With the help of a record century partnership for the seventh wicket between Brand Engelbrecht and Logan Van Beek, Netherlands recovered from the initial setbacks and set a challenging target of 262 runs in 49.4 overs in the ODI World Cup match against Sri Lanka here on Saturday. Scored.

Engelbrecht scored 70 runs in 82 balls with the help of four fours and a six, while Van Beek played a solid innings of 59 runs in 75 balls. Both of them made a partnership of 130 runs for the seventh wicket which is a new record in the World Cup. He broke the record of India’s Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja who had added 116 runs against New Zealand in Manchester in 2019.
