Exclusive Eligibility for Land to Landless Scheme Limited to J&K Domiciles: UT Administration
The Jammu and Kashmir administration has granted approval for the allocation of land through leasing to individuals without land, with the prerequisite that only residents holding domicile status within the Union Territory are entitled to benefit from this initiative.
Manoj Sinha, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, introduced the land to landless scheme in July. However, political parties in the region raised queries about the administration’s decision and sought clarification on the beneficiaries.
