In Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh, the tigress, who was believed to be spreading terror in the area, was caught unconscious by forest officials in Pilibhit Reserve. Local people had surrounded Divisional Forest Officer of Forest and Wildlife Division Sanjeev Kumar regarding the increasing number of tigers in the area. The police had to take this step for the safety of the forest workers and to prevent the crowd from turning violent.
