Suresh Kumar, renowned for his likeness to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and a former campaigner for Akhilesh Yadav, met a suspicious end on Thursday evening in Chaupai village, Sohramau. His wife alleges that injuries from a clash with neighbors on July 27-28 led to his untimely death. Police are considering action based on post-mortem findings.
Suresh Kumar, also known as Suresh Thakur Nandvanshi Yoddha, previously a prominent campaigner for Akhilesh Yadav, lived in Sohramau’s Chaupai village. His wife, Sarita Verma, holds a senior position in Kanpur’s Statistical Department. The dispute stemmed from the construction of a village checkpoint. After a confrontation, he sustained injuries and succumbed under mysterious circumstances.
Widow Sarita claims she met the Deputy Inspector General on July 29 to share her account. On July 30, Suresh was hospitalized, eventually passing away in distressing circumstances. While local police initially denied knowledge of the incident, conflicting reports suggest heart complications may have caused his sudden demise.
