
Lucknow: Bodies of four persons including a woman of a family from Andhra Pradesh were found hanging with the ceiling of a room of a Dharamshala in Devnathpura under the limits of Dashaswamedh police station on Thursday evening.
After inspecting the spot commissioner of police Ashok Mutha Jain said that the bodies of Konda Babu (50), his wife Lavanya (45), their sons- Rajesh (25) and Jairam (23) of East Godawari in Andhra Pradesh had been found hanging with the ceiling of a room of Kailash Bhawan Dharamshala. A suicide note written in Telugu has also been recovered from the room, said CP adding, it contained that Babu had monetary dispute with someone in his district and due to same reasons he along with his family had left home two months ago.
Since then they were staying in different cities and when all the money they carried, was spent they committed suicide, said CP adding, more facts would become clear in further investigation when entire suicide would be translated and the names of persons, with whom he Babu had dispute, would become clear. Bodies were sent for postmortem examination.
The incident came to light when this group of pilgrims did not open the room till evening and Dharmshala staff tried to know the reason by looking inside the room to know the reason.
Before CP, DCP Kashi zone RS Gautam, ADCO Chandrakant Meena, ACP Dashaswamedh Awadhesh Pandey and many senior officials had also reached the spot while forensic experts were also called before breaking into the room.
During initial investigation of police it came to light that Babu and his family had checked-in the room of this Dharamshala on December 3 morning. They had to leave Dharamshala on Thursday and they had completed the formalities of check-out on Wednesday evening by clearing all the payments occurred during their stay.
