Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal announced on Thursday that the ongoing talks between India and the UK regarding a free trade agreement (FTA) are making remarkable progress and are expected to conclude in the near future.
Goyal expressed his optimism that both parties are on track to establish a well-balanced, equitable, and just agreement that caters to the interests of businesses and citizens in both nations.
In response to inquiries about the UK’s requests for import duty concessions on automobile, whiskey, and dairy products, Goyal acknowledged that India and the UK are actively addressing their respective demands and concerns.
