Lucknow: Kanpur Nagar police arrested two teenagers, hailing from Jhansi on Wednesday for gangrape of a minor girl and pressing for unlawful religious conversion.
The youth, Lucky Khan, 19 and his friend Suheb, 18, residents of a Nawabad locality in Jhansi, reached Kanpur on Wednesday and forcibly made the girl sit in a car when she was going to school in the morning.
The youths then took her to a hotel in Kalyanpur where they raped her and forced her to convert to their religion. When the youths came out of the hotel along with the girl, they had an argument with the latter.
On this, the hotel staff and some people informed the police, subsequently, the police arrested Lucky Khan and his friend -Suheb and handed over the girl to her family members.
Inspector Kalyanpur Dhananjay Pandey, said, “Medical of the girl has been done. On the victim’s complaint, an FIR has been registered against the accused for kidnapping, gangrape, threatening, wrongful confinement, criminal intimidation, 5/6 POCSO act, Uttar Pradesh Law Against Religion Change Prohibition Act. The accused were produced in the court and sent to jail on Thursday.”
The survivor told the police that she had befriended Lucky Khan on Instagram a few months back.
Meanwhile, he managed to procure her photos while chatting. After this, he morphed those photos and started blackmailing her.
On Wednesday, Lucky along with his friend -Suheb reached Kanpur and called her and told her to meet them or else they would make her photos viral on the Social media. She refused, but they reached the Shivrajpur area on Wednesday morning and forced her to sit in the car when she was going to school. They then took her to the hotel and gangraped her and forced her to convert to their religion.
