In Rae Bareli, a leaking gas cylinder caught fire while being repaired, resulting in severe burns for five individuals. Local villagers provided assistance, and all the injured were admitted to the district hospital for treatment. Among them, three individuals in critical condition were referred to the Lucknow Trauma Center. The incident falls under the jurisdiction of the Shivgarh police station area in the Dihigwan village. Suresh Kumar Raavat from Lahai Gas Agency had brought the cylinder for repairs, but a gas leak occurred when the regulator was attached, causing the fire to spread rapidly. Despite efforts by local residents and disaster relief personnel, substantial damage had been done to the house and belongings. District Magistrate Mala Srivastava ordered a thorough investigation into the incident, emphasizing the need for a high-level probe.
