Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir showered praise on the national team captain, Rohit Sharma, as he achieved the remarkable milestone of 10,000 runs in One Day International (ODI) cricket during the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 clash against Sri Lanka. Rohit has now become the fifth Indian and the 15th batsman globally to reach this significant landmark, accomplishing it as the second-fastest, only behind his teammate and former captain, Virat Kohli.
However, Gambhir also acknowledged the role of former Indian captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, in Rohit Sharma’s triumphant journey in white-ball cricket.
