Last night, in the Mayapur area of Gaya’s Barachatti police jurisdiction, armed robbers targeted the Maharani Petrol Pump on the Delhi-Kolkata highway, looting a sum exceeding Rs. 1,78,360. The incident involved a brutal attack on the operator, Saurabh Kumar, who was resting in a Number One nozzle.
Saurabh, a fuel attendant, was not only robbed of Rs. 8,000 from his fuel sales but also had a gold necklace snatched from around his neck. Later, at gunpoint, he was forced to lead the robbers to the pump’s office. Upon finding the door locked, the criminals threatened to harm the nozzle operator, prompting the manager to open the door.
This entire incident was captured by the CCTV cameras. The robbery took a mere six minutes to be executed, leaving the victims shocked and traumatized.
