Goods Train Derails in Madhya Pradesh’s Narsinghpur District; Rail Traffic Restored After 10 Hours

Narsinghpur District, Madhya Pradesh – A goods train derailed between Narsinghpur and Kareli stations in Madhya Pradesh, causing disruptions in rail traffic along the route. The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 pm on Saturday in Narsinghpur district, as confirmed by Rahul Shrivastava, Chief Public Relations Officer of the West Central Railway, during a phone interview with PTI. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the derailment.

The derailment had an impact on traffic along the Jabalpur-Itarsi up line. However, by 9:30 am on Sunday, railway authorities had successfully restored normal rail operations, according to the official.

The incident involved the brake van, which is the last wagon of the goods train, derailing between Narsinghpur and Kareli stations. In response to the situation, trains were rerouted from the down line (Itarsi to Jabalpur). Subsequently, traffic on the up line has been fully reinstated.
