Gyanvapi Case Verdict Expected Today Amidst Allegations of Biased Reporting by Mosque Side – Focus on Upholding Law and Land Integrity

The mosque faction has demanded a media embargo on inaccurate reporting. In response, Rakhi Singh, the advocate for the temple faction, along with lawyers Man Bahadur Singh and Saurabh Tiwari, expressed objection. They stated that the media is not disseminating false news and that this case concerns the entire society. Everyone seeks accurate information about this matter.

A hearing took place on August 8th in the district court following the mosque faction’s petition, which alleged that false and inaccurate reports were being circulated and published in print, electronic, and internet media regarding a place where no survey has even commenced. This misinformation is negatively impacting public opinion.

The mosque faction’s plea emphasized that media, being the fourth pillar of democracy, is responsibly conveying information to the general public. Restricting their work is not appropriate. Deepak Singh, advocate for the temple faction, also opposed the petition, asserting that no misleading information is being provided to the media by the survey team or anyone connected to the case. Thus, restraining their method of operation would not be justified. After hearing arguments from both sides, the court has secured its order for August 10th.
