
New Delhi, June 15 (IANS) Delhi Lieutenant Governor T.S. Sandhu on Monday inaugurated a new Aadhaar Seva Kendra in West Delhi, highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra to harness technology to drive grassroots empowerment, transparency, and social inclusion.
Inaugurating the new facility at Vikaspuri, Sandhu described it as another step for enhancing ease of living and encouraged parents to get their teenaged children’s Aadhaar data updated at the new Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
In a message on X, the Lieutenant Governor said, “This seamless service delivery reflects our unwavering commitment to public welfare. We remain dedicated to building a responsive civic framework that empowers the people of Delhi and strengthens trust between citizens and governance.”
Taking to social media, Sandhu said, “Delighted to inaugurate the new Aadhaar Seva Kendra at Vikas Puri, Delhi today. This modern facility adds a vital pillar to the capital’s civic infrastructure, ensuring secure, expedited processing and easier access to essential digital services for thousands of local residents.”
He said, “This initiative effectively reflects the comprehensive governance model of PM Shri @narendramodiJi, where technology is harnessed to drive grassroots empowerment, transparency, and social inclusion. By streamlining administrative touchpoints, it represents a deeper nationwide transformation aimed at enhancing the overall ease of living for every citizen.”
Earlier, Sandhu shared on X an article he wrote for a Hindi newspaper in Delhi.
Referring to the article, the Lieutenant Governor said, “Under the leadership of the Honourable Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji over the past 12 years, India has established itself as a global power at both national and international levels.”
“Along with the economic empowerment of people through the Jan-Dhan scheme, initiatives like Aadhaar, UPI, CoWIN, and digital public infrastructure have achieved the goal of making governance more transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric,” he said.
Highlighting the infrastructure push over the past decade, Sandhu said on X, “At the same time, in this era, modern infrastructure, robust national security, and the resolve for a developed India by 2047 have infused the country with new energy and confidence. This goes far beyond technological transformation — it is also a symbol of empowering the aspirations of 1.4 billion Indians.”
“Today, the world sees India as a strong economic and strategic force, an envoy of global peace, and a bold voice for the Global South. Our nation has emerged on the global stage as a more capable, self-reliant, and influential power. This transformation over the past decade is unprecedented,” he said.
