According to the calendar, every year, on the third day of the Shukla Paksha in the Bhadrapad month, the Hartalika Teej fast is observed. On this day, a special puja is performed for Goddess Gaura Parvati and Lord Shiva. Similar to Karva Chauth, this fast is also considered quite challenging. Women observe a Nirjala fast (fasting without water) throughout the day. Married women observe this fast for the long-lasting happiness and prosperity of their husbands, while unmarried girls keep it with the hope of finding a good husband. It is believed that observing this fast leads to marital bliss and strengthens the bond of love between husband and wife.
