Haryana CM Manohar Lal presented the budget for the fifth time in his second term. This year, no new taxes have been imposed.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, in his capacity as Finance Minister, presented the final budget of the second term today. During this period, the CM stated, “It’s a matter of pride for me to present the budget for the fifth consecutive time.” He mentioned that this budget amounts to Rs. 1,89,000 crores, which is 11% higher than the previous budget. This year, no new taxes have been introduced. The Chief Minister announced the waiver of interest and penalties on loans for 5,47,000 farmers in Haryana. Manohar Lal emphasized, “I am a son of a farmer; I understand the pain. I have plowed fields myself and done farming.” An amount of Rs. 1,000 crores will be spent on urban development in Haryana. A proposal has been made to allocate Rs. 7,276.77 crores for rural areas. The grant amount for the families of soldiers martyred in the war is increased from 50 lakhs to 1 crore rupees.
