Heavy rains occurred in the coastal and interior districts of Tamil Nadu and authorities in many districts had to declare holiday in schools on Tuesday due to incessant rains.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over coastal areas of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and Karaikal on November 14.
