A part of a road in Meizhou city in southern Guangdong province, China, collapsed. At least 19 people have died in the incident. According to media reports, heavy rains have been occurring in the area in recent days. Rescue workers have transported 30 people to the hospital. The collapse of a 17.9-meter (58.7-foot) long section of the road caused eighteen cars to fall below.
