Lucknow: An FIR was lodged against a high school student on Tuesday for allegedly circulating an objectionable video of a class 8 girl of his school, police said.
As per the FIR lodged by the victim’s father, the accused had befriended the girl when she was in class 7 in Malihabad branch of the school last year.
“The accused then took some photos of her and doctored it inappropriately. Then he started blackmailing the girl and forced to give a nude video of her. Out of fear, the girl agreed but remained silent,” the FIR said.
After obtaining the video, the accused started playing bullying tactics with the girl who by then shifted to another branch of the same school in the city.
The accused then circulated the video among a group of students and the news reached the school principal who called the victim’s parents and informed them about the incident.
It was then the parents lodged a case.
Police said the boy wanted to have a relationship with the girl, but she was against it.
Additional DCP, CN Sinha, said an FIR was registered but as the case involves minors extra precaution is being taken.
“We will take assistance of child counsellors and Juvenile Justice board before proceeding in the case,” Sinha said.
