Lucknow: A fire broke out in a house located in Sector-67 after a 5 kg gas cylinder blasted on Sunday morning. Four, including a woman and two minors, were injured.
The victims are identified as Antar Singh (35), a resident of Mamura village in Sector-67, his wife Mithlesh (32), his son Krishna (15) and his daughter Gauri (10), the police said.
Vijay Kumar, Phase 3 police station SHO, said that around 6.30 am, the fire department got information about the incident. Three fire tenders were sent to rescue the family. “Initial investigation revealed that Mithlesh was making breakfast when the gas cylinder started leaking and caught fire. Fire tenders were sent and they doused the flame immediately,” he said. Police said that Antar sustained severe burns, while the others were stable. No case has been registered yet.
